Description
The HC-SR04 / HY-SRF05 Ultrasonic Sensor Module is a versatile and cost-effective distance measuring sensor widely used in robotics, drones, automation, and IoT applications. Utilizing ultrasonic sound waves, it accurately measures distances ranging from 2 cm to 400 cm (4 meters) with a high level of precision.
This sensor operates on the Time-of-Flight (ToF) principle, where it sends out an ultrasonic pulse and measures the time taken for the echo to return, calculating the distance to the object in front of it.
